We went in for a box of tennis balls, a paper shredder and some groceries. Of course it is fun to always sample the foods they offer. I didn't realize they made sushi on the spot and there was a sushi chef making rolls as fast as he could. I'll have to try that another day.
I have to remark about a lady who was selling the Mediterranean breads. She was very engaging, told you how the breads were made, that they were wheat free and made sure we all got a sample of each type. They also had baklava and other pastries as well. This lady to me was absolutely fascinating, she knew her product, had a ring of customers around her table and made sure she had product continually coming out for us to taste. She wasn't pushy, but engaging and it made me want to succumb to my carboholic tendencies. This lady needs to be selling high end merchandise, her skills are underutilized in selling bread. I wish I had gotten her name. She had a beautiful accent that I could not detect.
And when did Costco start selling gelato? I almost made it out of there clean! haha We shared a little chocolate gelato for the way home and it was a nice little treat.
It was a very nice experience.
