In terms of location, this isn't bad! The Strip area is a bit easier to navigate than actual downtown. It's actually nice to walk around on a week night when the whether cooperates. Street parking was easy to find too for non-weekend shows.
The actual building is so gross though. It's only one floor and has an air of a cheaply re-renovated warehouse. I know hipsters are into that kind of thing with exposed piping and brick, uneven floorboards, foldout seats...but it does not make me believe I'm here for an opera. I can see it working well for a show like Avenue Q but definitely not for a show I spent $112+ on. The bathrooms smell kind of funky and the stage is tiny. This venue is just so B list and rundown. I want some class and pizzazz to go with my opera shows. It's OPERA, after all.
