rev:text	Wish there was a Zero Star Review. I selected this place to do a FFL because I saw a post online that they would do a FFL for $20.00 per transaction up to 3 firearms. I had 2 so I figured I'd save a few dollars over lock and load. I had one weapon delivered on 12/22 and then 2nd on 12/23. On 12/23 I came to pick up both guns on a single transaction. He did not honor the $20.00 per transaction and said that he loses money on that so he has to do $20.00 per weapon. I agreed. He charged me the background check fee + 2 FFL fees + the sales tax. I filled out the paperwork and waited for Paul to call the State to run the background check. After 50 mins of waiting, He was unable to perform the background check because he didn't pay his fees to the state. He tried to lie to me and tell me that their system was down and that he was going to try again in 30 mins. I foolishly believed him and gave him the benefit of the doubt. After 2 hours I asked him to please bring my guns down the street to lock and load so I could FFL and receive them. He tried to lie to me again and tell me that it was the state who was having problems and that he could have the background check performed and ready to go in the morning. I had already called 3 other gun shops and they all confirmed that the system was running without any problems. I asked him to bring the guns to lock and load. He obliged. 4 days went by and I emailed him for a refund. For context- this is the day before Christmas eve and I had no intention of having to wait Christmas eve, Christmas, Saturday and then Sunday- and finally pick up the items Monday because of HIS error. Here is his email response to me asking for my refund "I will need to swipe the card to do the refund. I will refund the tax no problem. The transfer fee's I am going to charge as we did have to process the guns in and out and I had to drive them to lock and load since you didn't want to wait. The system was back up for us before the end of the day. So if you had waited you could have just got them from us. Also we didn't have to transfer to another dealer. We could have held them until the system was back up. I did it as courtesy for you since you were in a hurry. By law I didn't have to drive them to another dealer! I could have shipped them and charged you processing and shipping fees. As a courtesy for you since you didn't want to wait I dropped them off to LNL for you to pickup as requested. But there will still be processing fees. I could charge a lot more especially since I hand delivered in the middle of a busy day and had to pay another employee to come in on his day off to go deliver them for you, which cost me double time for him with a min of 2 hrs. So I'm still loosing money with charging you the standard fees. But please realize the issue was a problem with the state background check system. Not us. " So he is going to charge me 2 FFL fees because he doesn't pay his fees to the state to run his business correctly. I've disputed this with the credit card company and feel confident I will be refunded. This Dealer should be avoided. According to him he could charge me a lot more. --------- Update as of the following day ------- Yelp will not let me post an update yet but I definitely wanted to comment on Paul's recent post. I went into Davidson's today on Paul's request because he said he could only refund if he swiped the card. Paul was not there, why would he be its a Monday and he's a business owner. I dealt with his relatively friendly staff. The staff helped refund my sales tax and my background check fee. They did not however refund the two $20.00 ffl fees or my $5.65 credit card processing fee. Asking for fees to be reversed which were paid in good faith for services not performed is far from "demanding a full refund" There is no reason to keep quibbling over $45.65. The fact is, this business owner has now threatened legal action against me because I continue to tell the truth on this yelp post. He must really need my 45 bucks. Even after he offered to give me a full refund if I removed it, I declined. Because I feel like maybe this post (this 45.00 post) will save some people money, headache, and most importantly time in the future. Avoid this scumbag local business owner. Many other choices around town where you can spend your hard earned money.
