  • Disappointing... My wife and I were very excited to dine here, which made our experience that much more disappointing... Reservation - arrived promptly at 7:00, were told we would have to wait. Waiting is not generally a problem, but it is when the restaurant is not full and tables of two that showed up after us were sat. Also, another couple (who arrived after us) were led to their table only to return a minute later because they did not like the location. The hostess then asked if they would like to be seated in another section because there were "plenty" of tables available...meanwhile it is 7:30 and we are still waiting. Bread - stale...literally difficult to swallow Appetizers - options were limited as I am not a seafood/shellfish guy, but we were not planning on ordering one anyway Steak - this is where it gets really disappointing...To start, the presentation was awful. Prime makes a show about wheeling their silver covered plates throughout the restaurant, but I did not know our steak had arrived until it was unceremoniously delivered over my shoulder onto the table. The steaks (Bone-in Ribeye, their most well liked steak according to our server) were visibly unappealing. To start, the cut was very thin, an inch at most. I am not sure what they were trying to do with the butter when cooking the steaks, but they did not finish - it was a gelatinous mess. I have never seen something like this, even I can properly melt butter when grilling steaks at home. I wish I had taken a picture because of how terrible it looked. Because I order my steaks Black & Blue it is difficult to comment on the temperature, but my wife's was not hot, or even warm. In all fairness, the flavor was decent. Sides - I am not big on sides, I tend to only need the steak, but my wife loves mashed potatoes. We ordered a side of the Yukon mashed. I think they served it in a bowl the size of a coffee cup. For $18. I understand this is an expensive restaurant and you are paying for ambiance, location, etc. - but $18 for a coffee cup of Potato Buds is a tad excessive. We both agreed these "potatoes" either came powdered from a box/bag/sack, or their potato masher competes in strong man competitions - you could almost drink them, with nary a lump to be found. They were also lacking in flavor, and again, not even warm. Desert - Although we agreed we would be throwing good money after bad my wife ordered the molten chocolate cake. Another disappointment...decent flavor, but the cake was extremely dry. Presentation was lacking and it was pretty evident it also came from a box or plastic tray. Service - The staff were average, not exceptional, and we did not feel like valued guests. Overall - We expected so much more from this dinner. We have been to many high end steakhouses across the country, and this experience was one of the least enjoyable. I don't post often, but felt I had too on this one...
