Had the opportunity to stop by during their soft opening.. have seen thai roll icecream all over instagram the last couple of weeks especially from New York city and was super excited to try this on their first opening day!
The concept of this icecream is quite unique. You pick your flavour and a cream liquid gets poured on a cold stone. You wait about 2 minutes and then they start to roll the cream up.
On their first day they had 8 flavours. We opted to try the taro coconut. The flavour itself was good because it was not overly sweet. Though I did wish they used real taro in their cream rather than it tasting like powder taro bubble tea. After they roll up the icecream they add additional toppings. This one came with whip cream, Mochi and coconut. One cup is definitely filling for one person.
I would definitely go back and try other flavours (especially their thai iced tea!) Great idea for the summer!
