I came here opening day. The venue is identical to the chocolat favouris/juliette et chocolat kind of feel deco. I really like the outside seating area with an warming table. I discovered from Quebec city, that this franchise is a popular chain for icecream/sundaes (their specialty).
Inside, there were at least 20 students getting trained in the back that were running around like headless chickens. Management didn't seem to have any idea of organization or paying particular attention to customer service.
When I finally got to my turn for being served, I was told to wait by the manager, no reason given..waiting..waiting..finally I asked the cashier- what am I exactly waiting for to order? she said the client a head of me went to get his wallet- I turn back and he is counting coins on the table still. I was happy to know the cashier took the time to at least address the pause in waiting. However, the manager? shouldn't he a bit more considerate in having better communication skills- rewind, it is ok I will let it go- I get it, first day, training students (maybe should've delayed the opening).
We ordered a banana split sundae for 9.19$- 3/5 and a watermelon slushie. The presentation of the sundae was terrible- there was nothing appetizing watching them cut up an overripened banana and then squirting chocolate syrup on my sundae. Even, McDonalds does a better job with presentation. I really enjoyed the quality of the icecream-it was rich and had great flavour but I don't know if I would play 10$ for this again? The slushie didn't taste like watermelon either.
Will I come back here? probably not- If anything maybe letting some time pass before a next visit will get their game on for getting more organized. Until then- this is just another overpriced fancy icecream joint. No thanks.
