Too bad it's fitted into the ground floor of the hotel so oddly... Really takes away from the vibe of the coffee shop that I think it tries to brand itself as - a modern coffee shop with high end italian-inspired caffeinated beverages.
I liked the staff's attitude. The girl anyway. She was bright and friendly.
The food is a bit pretty pricey, but decent. I came here with a $5 wagjag for $10 worth of food, so I loosely ordered the croissant w turkey and cheese (~$3.75), a large cappuccino (~$3.75) [the regular was $3.10) and their lemon cranberry muffin (~$1.60).
They heated up (microwaved) the croissant for me and it was pretty good. A bit on the salty side. But overall ok. Nothing special though. 7/10
The cappuccino was nothing special either. It was pretty small for a "large" and I wondered if it was a regular. I didn't care enough to ask though. I was rather disappointed that they didn't take advantage of the foam on top to create a design or anything. Ah well. 6/10
I think the best part about the muffin was that they didn't use paper cups to bake them in, so I didn't have to peel anything off (and rip out half the muffin in the process of doing so... I'm just terrible at it.) I guess that's creativity on their part. As for the actual muffin, it had irregular chunks of zest (lemon? cranberries? eh.). 6/10
I'm not sure if I'd come here again since it is in a rather odd place, probably tailored to serve the customers of the hotel it's in.
They do however, have a good variety of vegan/organic baked goods. But I didn't try them. Maybe I should've.
Overall this place for me is an "Eh."
