| - Honestly, I fricking love this place! The food is delicious. The only time I have ever disliked something here was when I ordered the Thom Yum vegetarian, but other than that.... LOVE the Thom Yum and the Thom Ka- great with chicken (and I hate chicken), really good with shrimp. The last time I ate here the shrimp seemed to be a lot better quality than a few years ago- so I'm pretty stoked for that, because a lot of places have really gross shrimp in Phoenix... you know that mushy shrimp that just seems icky... icky... right? That describes it? Icky shrimp. The shrimp they served me last time were plump and juicy and really good.
The fried rice dishes, excellent. The curries... pretty darn good. Pad Thai... yum... Cashew dishes, basil dishes... all GOOD. We always order extra veggies on just about everything and they always happily accommodate us with excellent fresh, perfectly al dente.
The area where you can find this awesome Thai restaurant may be described as pretty much, super ghetto- and beware, one day the guy that owns the liquor store next door came out and picked a fight with us for parking in front of his store, when he was closed for the day... That dudes a dick.
But, really, if you are on the West Side- this is definitely a good spot. I used to think Thai Rama was the stuff, but I think I prefer Siam now... Sorry Thai Rama.
My one gripe. Every single time I eat here, I ask for extra chili paste because my guy can't handle as much heat as me, so we end up ordering everything medium for his Caucasian palate- every single time they forget to bring the chili paste. But, what are you going to do? They will eventually bring it, we just have to ask again. My boyfriend said he figured out the secret- you have to ask for the chili paste when they bring your food out, or they will always forget.
One more thing, did I mention the servers are really nice, big smiles, very friendly... - 5 stars earned!
