  • I guess this may be a matter of different tastes, but I much prefer Heavenly Cupcakes to the place in Hudson (which is the only other all-cupcake place I've found here so far). A better variety of flavors - even if you go in the afternoon - and I feel that they are a better balance of frosting to cake, and not overly sweet or buttery. We've bought them for grownups and for kids, and everyone has raved about them! We have some friends that drove here themselves from Akron, they loved them so much. We've tried vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, blueberry lemon, chocolate peanut butter, and a few others and they've all been good. No dry cake in our batches, and just the right amount of icing and/or filling. The shop itself is a bit pink and cutesy for my taste (I'd take a kid here for a tea & cupcake, but can't imagine sitting in myself) and at around $2 per cupcake they can add up fast, but it's good for an occasional take-home treat.
