  • When we moved to Calgary, this was where we had our first meal. Bad idea. It was the afternoon / a nice day so we were looking for a patio. The patio at the Rose & Crown is a good space, but the service was so bad that it overshadowed all the positives. When we walked in, we struggled to figure out if we were supposed to seat ourselves or not. We decided to cowboy up and just sit; if we were doing it wrong, someone would surely tell us. It was ages before we were served, and when we finished out drinks our glasses sat empty for a long time. The food was good, but it took forever to get to us. You know when you're getting bad service, and by the time you're actually chowing down you're just angry-eating? That was what happened to us.
