  • This review is more for the rental department and not for the whole store. I have picked up different items from Stanford Home Center for years. The customer service is usually pretty good. I think you pay more here for home improvement products than other stores but it's very convenient for me since we live within 10 minutes of the store. In the last 3 months I have rented a pressure washer, an edge sander, and a drum floor sander from their rental department. I booked these online and called to confirm my reservation. I think Stanford rents out their equipment a lot better than how Home Depot rents because it is a first come first serve situation at Home Depot. At Stanford I know that my rental will be available when I get to the store. Also the prices are a lot more reasonable than Home Depot. For each rental they were all in very good condition and I really didn't have any problems with any of them. What sets Stanford above other stores is their customer service I think. They took care of me, asked about my projects, and gave me suggestions. They remembered me from my last rental and I felt confident that if I had any problems that they would help me out. I rented the Floor drum sander for $55 for the day. I had to pay additional for sand paper but it's a lot less expensive doing this yourself than getting a contractor to do it for you. The pressure washer was very inexpensive as well for 4 hours. For the overall store I would give it a 3 so average but for their rental department it's a 5. I recommend Stanford rental to anybody. My wife has some more projects for me so I will be back soon. Thanks Stanford Home Center rental department!
