  • We awaited for the complimentary shuttle at Union Station and looked everywhere as we were told it arrives every 30 minutes. When it arrived this Monday evening near rush hour, we were the only ones to rushed on to stay warm while the friendly driver looked to see if any more guests were coming on board. At arrival of the final stop, we look up at Lowe's Toronto Christmas Market in a lighted sign that reminds of Christmas lights. Walking past the front gates to this FREE admission event, we immediately noticed the lights along the top and the vendor booths setup along the length of the road while it ends with a large Christmas Tree. Magic of Christmas indeed along with chilly Weather to go with it. The vendors themselves have many Arts, Crafts and some Edible Treats on display while the attendance on hand seemed to be of normal Distillery District count rather than the Sunday crowd that I've heard of. The vendors seem to be just event crawlers as I notice some do not actually have a physical shop elsewhere within the city. The Christmas Carolers at the stage were heard from as far as the front gates while the Ferris Wheel looked just insane even for the adventurous. It was going at break-neck speed in the freezing cold that I had a headache just looking at some guest on it. Beer Gardens seemed to be quiet as most guest would choose to go to the indoor Restaurants, Shops or Soma Chocolatemaker for warmth. There are Fire Pits within different areas that allow you to gather and warm up out in the cold. This Christmas Market although not absolute perfect, it reminds me of scenes from Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol which is the most Christmas atmosphere I've seen in Toronto thus far. I think it is a perfect venue to hold this Market and that we chose an excellent Weeknight to soak up the Holiday atmosphere.
