We just got done doing the Payback room. I couldn't even wait to review this. First of all, background on us. This room was our 87th escape room. We got done in 30 minutes. We aren't judging this on the ease of it, because this was their easiest room. But the quality of this room.
Design:
Where do I begin. A simple office setup with random props. Literally all I can say.
Puzzles:
Fewest I have ever seen. They might believe that the number of locks means the level of difficulty in a room. But we have gotten out of rooms in 20 minutes that had double the amount of work.
Overall:
Save your money. For the price of this place, I thought it would be decent. We are mostly LA based but have done around 5 companies in Vegas. There is only 2 I would spend money at, and they are all cheaper than this place. The puzzles made no logistical conclusion on how you were to solve them. When we asked for a hint and the game master told us how to solve it, we both made a "What?!" Face. There was no logical conclusion on how someone was supposed to come up with that. And it happened twice in the limited amount of puzzles they had. While the other rooms might be better, DO NOT pay for "Payback"
I am giving this a 2 star because it is not a complete ripoff. It was still an escape room. Just not a good one.
