| - I've been here twice now and the place has great potential with the right management. Both times, they have been understaffed and as a result you're left waiting for the menus to be delivered, waiting to order, waiting excessively for basic necessities like small plates, table clearing, your food and your check. Also the ambiance was cool until the music stopped for a good 10 minutes, which shows that restaurant doesn't even care enough to either have pandora going or set a long enough playlist.
The food is good but it had been sitting a while so it came out Luke warm which typically you wouldn't notice but the hollaindaise on the eggs benny started to harden which really isn't appealing. It would also help if the seafood bar chefs were trained well on how to shuck oysters as the oysters had so much shell in it, it was hard to enjoy... not to mention it would have been nice to know what oysters were plated.
It really comes down to management. If management can get their stuff together, this place could really be an awesome dining experience. Instead we waited a while for the menus, then the oysters came out with shells in them and we also weren't explained the type/ order they came in (this is pretty standard for a place that boasts an oyster bar), waiting a long while until we received our mains that had obviously been sitting out waiting to be served, waited 20 minutes for our check until we decided to get up and request it from the hostess, and suggested that we speak to the manager only to be told that there's only one around and kind of ignored the request we had.
To be honest, I don't know if i'll be returning after having been disappointed a second time. It truly is a shame though bc the food is actually quite tasty despite having been sitting out.
