I agree there's LOTs of "stuff" (from shoes to hair) in the Beauty Supply Store/s, this one no different. It would be even more profitable and a way of giving back to the communities they serve to have knowledgeable staff who at the very least can speak to, for or about the products they sell. It's not about race but rather personal who look like us are more much likely to have first-hand experience about the products being sold. But ask yourself why should they?? Most of you know (based on word of mouth) what you're going to buy and don't really "need" product/service advise. In the owners response to Abbey's review the undertone was that they delegate based on skill set. Interpretation: The people of color, currently on staff do not have the skill set to do more than what they are currently doing. From that response I discern Tisuns' has been unable to hire/promote a person/s of color who have the skills necessary to run a cash register (handle their money) or at the very least sell the products, for which they primarily use. But they feel they are "the most diverse businesses in Charlotte"....go figure. To the Abbey's or those who patronize "these types" of business I say continue to keep your eyes... hearing what's not being said. I do see a glimmer of light as quite a few of us continue to embrace our natural hair/products. To all the others, you can be assured the Kwon Family appreciates your continued support
