Ever flip through some random channels on television, see people sliding giant stones across ice, then go, hmm this is such a Canadian sport even though I've never done it before? Well, now you can! This is not an infomercial.
I've been here twice and had a blast stepping onto the ice and learning about the the sport. I came here in a group and we were given access to the area on time. The management is strict on reinforcing this to ensure that the next group can jump on it when it's their turn. One rule that everyone should remember is to not sit or lie on the ice, otherwise it will melt and ruin the experience for everyone else. I saw a girl do that and left a print, who then promptly got scolded. It's cold on the ice but at the same time, you'll warm up quickly when you start sweeping the ice. Bring a light jacket and thin gloves.
Once we were done, we warmed up in this large room full of trophy's, where the served snacks and drinks. It's a nice overview of the curling arena, so you can spectate the games that are currently going on. I can see myself returning here again.
