(Disclaimer: this is a demographically subjective review. This church might be perfect for you!)
We loved this church when it was City of Grace. When it rolled into Hillsong, things changed a bit. College students and young urbanites moved in. Families, racial diversity, and the homeless began moving out. The service became more polished. Ushers began intervening earlier and more often when children cried. Yada yada yada.
My impression has always been that the leadership and volunteer staff have authentic and amazing hearts for God and people. I love how invested and involved they are in initiating and advocating for changes in the Valley and I believe God has good things for both the church and the city in which they meet. Unfortunately, we and our racially diverse family felt we no longer had a place in the church we've been so grateful for in the past.
