| - This company is absolutely terrible. First they arrived a day later than they were supposed to pick up our items. We were already short on time for our cross country move, needing to drive nearly 2,000 miles in the course of 3 days to make it to work on time the following Monday. Their tardiness prevented us from being able to make the trip in time, but unfortunately that's not the worst of it. We were promised delivery within one week of our arrival- it took SEVEN weeks to get here. We called multiple times each week, and were told every time that our belongings were still in a storage facility in Texas because they could not get a crew to go that far south. They would not offer any solutions, and just kept providing that same excuse for weeks. At the 5 week mark, we were told that our belongings had been picked up and would arrive by the end of the following week. We were to expect a 48 hour notice for the delivery date and time. When the newly promised delivery timeframe passed, we called again and were told that our driver was in North Carolina, and had to stop in Virginia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania before they would reach us in New York. We were again promised 48 hour notice for delivery and told that it would be approximately 5 days before the arrival. On the final day, we received a call from the driver stating that he would be arriving in 3 hours. While my husband and I were both at work. I had to take unpaid time off to go home and await their arrival, which ended up being a full 8 hours after that original call. We also had to pay an additional $700 on the spot for a shuttle truck to be loaded, though we were told at the time the contract was signed that that would not be necessary. When the truck finally arrived and we began unpacking, we quickly noticed that nearly every one of our belongings were damaged. As newlyweds, we had just received brand new dinnerware. Unfortunately, only one of our plates made the trip intact, despite the box being labeled "very fragile." Almost every box was brought in completely torn apart, and our new furniture is now scratched and dented. The total value of the damage exceeds the cost we paid to have our belongings moved. We went with the company because they were nearly half of what we were quoted from other businesses, but it turns out there is a very good reason for that. I would gladly have paid double the cost we paid to have everything arrive intact, as we now had to pay this incompetent business over $3,000 and now must replace over $3,000 worth of our belongings. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
