  • The pictures on Expedia led us to believe that this was a beautiful, clean hotel. The ratings were 3.5-4 stars on all of the websites we looked at (should've checked yelp) so we booked. When we arrived, the place looks like a 2 star at best - smells like old smoke and upon walking into the lobby it was apparent the staff has no pride in where they work nor their personal appearances. It might have killed the front desk staff to smile any time we went to ask questions of them. We got the key and headed down the hall to our room - cheap renovations are mostly incomplete, the lighting sucks, and the carpet is a tripping hazard. I chose the hotel because of the pics of the gym and pool. The gym is closed and has been used as a storage room for some time. The #1 selling feature didn't exist. The room itself is decent. The sheets and towels are clean. The room - clearly marked non-smoking - smells like old smoke. A half hearted attempt at masking the odor with perfumy stuff can be detected. It's an okay hotel, but the pics online are misleading.
