I'm very happy to be writing a review for one of my favourite places to visit in Toronto. I always drag my otaku friends here whenever I get the chance. The prices are very fair. My boyfriend who loves anime figurines kept telling me that with insane shipping rates online and the poor $CAD exchange rate, these prices are actually a pretty good deal currently.
Upon entering the store, I'm always greeted by a very knowledgeable and non-condescending (ahem Anime Extreme...) staff who are always more than willing to help. After buying figurines they take the time to inspect figurines closely to ensure that you're getting a good undamaged product.
Although the location is a little bit sketchy (north of China town, make a right on D'Arcy) and cramped, it makes up for it with the excellent blue branding and extensive collection of relevant figurines. Even if you're not planning to buy anything I still recommend coming. Its always fun getting lost in the piles of beautiful boxes of anime figurines -- its kinda like an otaku's dream exhibit.
After chatting with the staff there a couple times, I figured out a few things to keep note of: (1) they do not do damaged box specials, (2) they also have a membership card -- so if you plan to frequent this place, you should definitely sign up, and (3) also, check out their booth at Anime North -- I was told they have do a 0 tax event at the convention.
