| - The worst place in the world. Since Traci left and Shea Mccomb took over, this place is a you know what show. They are invasive and not understanding. They don't listen to residents concerns or take anything rational into account. Corporate will not respond and all you can do is deal with Shea who is an absolute moron. It's to the point that I don't even take complaints to her anymore.
I've lived here for 5 years and I will NOT be renewing my lease. When I first moved in, it was great. They were always willing to listen and always responded quickly.
Recently in the last two years, they have been awful.
This week, they decided to pave the parking lot and leave residents without spaces. When I called the 24 hour line, they explained that they can't do anything and that I would have to personally take it up with the police department. There are people parked in fire lanes and in front of hydrants and the hotline told me that it is not an emergency or risk. I asked what happens if there is a fire or emergency and the woman on the phone said there's nothing that can be done.
About 5 months ago my neighbor was robbed. Shea Mccomb, the property manager explained to me that they were doing nothing at all to increase security to the complex. She actually said "No" when I specifically asked if management was going to do anything extra to secure the property. There is a gate but it is wide open during daylight and nobody monitors the entry in the daytime. She said they have evening security and in the daytime, there were maintainable people and if they HAPPEN to see something, they will report it. When I called to report the parking issue, I was told there was not regular evening security on this property.
So basically Shea Mccomb is a liar. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She gave me his number and e mail address. I called twice and e mailed once and not a single reply.
Last year I saw a resident with a pitbull. I saw the pitbull lunge at another resident at the mailbox. When I reported it to management, they said that the dog was a service dog. Shea said she knew the dog personally and he was nice. Again, Shea Mccomb is a liar!
Three months ago I got a letter taped to my door saying that it was that time of the year AGAIN to do property inspections where they enter your unit on a specific day that you cannot change to inspect the unit. When I asked what they meant by "again" they said they have done this before. NEVER in five years have they done this to my knowledge which means they illegally entered my home without notice before.
Recently rent went up again and there have been no great improvements to the property. Recently they did redo the playground and picnic area. When I first moved in, we were able to use our own grills away from covered areas. Now we can't. We can use their community grills which are dirty from not being maintained. There is hop scotch in the play area but it is concrete tiles with flowers between the tiles so you can't even toss your pebble to actually play hop scotch.
This past year, I was told that I needed to sign an entirely new lease agreement. When I asked why, Shea Mccomb told me that I have done it every year. I asked to see the copies of the past leases that I signed and she said that she didn't have them. When I asked where these documents went, Shea Mccomb could not give me an answer. I feel like it is probably because she forged documents or is just a flat out liar.
I have been in my building the longest and let me tell you, you are way better off saving your $900 and going somewhere else. Between building managers like Shea Mccomb who are absolute morons and liars and corporate managers who will not respond to residents, this place is a pit.
Sure she may seem nice when you are moving in or paying your rent, try bring a concern or complaint to Shea Mccomb's attention and you will see that she has absolutely NO business managing a complex.
Before you rent, remember that Shea Mccomb is running a business and will tell you whatever you want to hear in order to get you to sign a lease.
Caution the "good" reviews on here as I feel they are manufactured. Since I have been in my building the longest, I know my neighbors and absolutely none of them can agree to those positive reviews. Before you rent, just talk to a few residents. You will see. There is a reason that the turnover is so high.
