Based on last night's dinner I am raising Cioppino's rating to 4 stars, although it is rounded up from 3.6 or so. The menu, while limited, featured a couple of items of interest. We tried the fried squash blossoms, which were very good. Our entres were crab cakes and a seafood pasta, both of which were satisfying. Service was excellent. The detractors remain from last visit. It's a little too loud in the dining room when the band is playing in the bar. Then there's the award winning wine list, which is legitimately impressive, but lacks any reasonably priced bottles. The lowest priced California Chardonnay is $55, a little high for an everyday dinner. The price was fair for the bottle, but more than I wanted to spend. We would visit more often if there were some lower priced wine selections.
