On the plus side: my wife loved the pool and jacuzzi; adequate rooms; close to the city.
On the negative side when we checked in on Friday, 13 Nov (go figure) the porter took my wife to our room while I squared away the car. Upon opening the room door the room was dark, curtains drawn......and 'someone', a woman, laying on the bed. My wife obviously screamed. Hotel obviously got us another room. Not sure whether the woman was dead.....drunk......or drugged. Once in our substitute room the bathtub faucet leaked and kept us up for the better parts of two nights and towels tossed under the leak would alleviate the dripping noise until the towels themselves got soaked. Yes, we called the bldg engineer. His first trip all he did was tighten down the faucet to the point that when I showered Saturday afternoon I had to wrap the faucet with a towel and beat on it until the water turned on......so of course the leak was back with a vengence. The 2nd time the engineer showed up he said there was nothing that could be done until they could shut off the water 'stack' as to allow replacement of the valve. All in all not a good weekend in the beautiful city of Pittsburgh!
