| - (only gave a star because it is required to post) Buyer Beware! I called for the cost prior to going up to the Fitness 1 on Waddell so I knew what to expect, after touring the facility the manager gave my husband and I a price that was three times what I was told when I called. We left the center and went to the one on Greenway and got the correct price for our membership. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of signing up for training. In January I contacted Sean, the training coordinator at the Waddell location about making sure my contract was going to cancel, I was told that I didn't have to do anything it would cancel at the end of the year contract...$600 dollars later it still had not cancelled. I then had the "luck" of talking to Jen who "runs" the Greenway location and one other, she like to talk about good business practice but can't actually fix anything. When I asked to speak to the owner (Kelly Bruce?), I was told that she would give him the message but that he probably would not call me because he doesn't do that...really so he does not care about his customers? I was promised a follow up phone call from Jen to make sure the contract was cancelled, here is over a month later...no call and no information from the owner. Don't waste your money on training, they hire trainers who have very sketchy backgrounds, there does not seem to be a requirement other than you have a certificate to train, and they can't keep staff so you end up moving from trainer to trainer. The people are rude that work the counter, they will tell you one thing and an hour later deny that you even spoke to them, even if you have their information in their handwriting.
The second line of Fitness 1's business motto is "We are committed to providing the best experience for our members", I would suggest they update the motto to "we are only out for the money, the customer experience doesn't mean a thing to us" because that is the impression given by the employees at both the Greenway and Waddell locations.
