  • We've been going to Tom for a decade now ... Tom and his crew at Catskill Auto are not only honest and of the highest integrity, they are genuinely decent people. Tom will not sell you parts/services that you not need (quite the opposite). Based on the condition of my vehicles (now totaling four), I've been advised that I could safely defer certain "maintenance" for another 6 months, 1-2 years and (at least once) that it would not be needed until it "stop working" (without impacts to safety of passengers or mechanical well-being of the vehicle). There are no huge mark-ups on parts and the hourly labor rates are more than fair. We take our vehicles in twice a year for check-up and Tom/Catskill are given carte blanche permission to do whatever they deem necessary (note: we will still get a call with an upfront estimate and authorization for anything unexpected or extra).
