| - I've been making an effort to explore more coffee shops in the Tempe area to study. I found this place after a few study-friendly reviews.
The shop itself is pretty spacious, a good deal of tables, wifi, and a slew of couches to make yourself comfortable and grade papers, do homework, keep up with your wordpress/squarespace, etc. (Yeah, it's a hip place.) They also have a few art pieces from local artists which I appreciate.
I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and there weren't too many people inside. The baristas didn't greet customers, which I thought was a little weird. He just stared at me. It was a little awkward. We'll chalk it up to him being an introvert like me.
But sheesh was that latte good. The roast is impressive- not too acidic, and the temperature wasn't scalding hot. Some may argue that the price was a little steep for a latte, but I reason that it's because it's some primo roast. In addition they have a lot of non-dairy options which I loved. Soy milk, almond milk, even rice milk.
All in all- good coffee, study-friendly. Will definitely come again.
