  • ***THEE BEST THING TO DO IN VEGAS WITHOUT DRINKING*** Took advantage of a Groupon deal and surprised BF with a drifting session. I wasn't planning on doing it myself but hey, you only live once and I'd hate to see him have all the fun and I sit on the sidelines. Filled out forms, got our helmets and were introduced to our instructors. I wish I knew their names cause they made it such a great experience. 2 cars, 2 instructors and us noobs in the passengers seat. The instructors were driving and drifting, showing us how it felt and showed off some of their skills with tandem drifting. Pretty awesome right there. Once we sat in the drivers seat, we went for broke. Taught us 3 ways to drift and let us keep going at it, even a little after our allotted time. One hell of an experience and will definitely be coming back for more when we return to Vegas. A little pricey but totally worth the full price. One of the coolest thing my instructor told me: "It's ok to hit the cones and stuff, just don't hit the people!" Pointers: Call the company before you go. You want to make sure they're open and what their hours exactly are cause it all depends on the season. The website isn't accurate. Not sure about now but when I went, it wasn't Don't expect great looking cars. You're new to this so why have something pretty to drive and wreck? What they have gets the job done. Dress down. There are no windows on the cars and they wet the track. Expect to get dirty. Come here knowing how to drive stick. Don't waste your time or theirs if you don't know how. Everything you learned about driving, LET IT GO! I was told to let go of the steering wheel and that was the most difficult thing for me to let up on. If you can follow that, you'll have an easier time drifting. TIP WELL! These guys are working off tips. Would you want to sit in a car with a "new" driver? I know I don't so give them that credit. Surprise your BF with this experience and you'll earn some major GF points!
