| - Just over a year ago I was in search of a new bed and my Mom and I went in to Colleen's. We found a great, gently used king sized sleigh bed for a decent price. We bought it and had it delivered about a week later. When it was delivered, there were no slats. How am I supposed to put my mattress on this frame without support? Luckily, they sent the delivery guys off and someone else came back to build slats (not sure why this needed to be done - the bed should've come with them). They shouldn't be selling beds like that.
Although they fixed the issue, I would say to make sure you read everything VERY carefully. The guy who built the slats explained that they were only doing it as a courtesy and that they sales contract only listed the headboard, footboard and rails - no slats. That doesn't even make sense to me, but I am glad they fixed it. (Although 1 of those slats is now broken - on a side of the bed that nobody sleeps on)
Fast forward to this past weekend - my Mom and I are looking for a new coffee table and decided to pop in to Colleen's again. We were unaware that they had moved locations (they are now on Marks by Costco, not on Warm Springs).
We found the prices to be EXTREMELY high - like $350 for a coffee table (not of great quality). These are USED items - I could buy a full set of tables new at a lot of places for much less money. Again, I understand it's consignment, but the mark-up is ridiculous!
As I mentioned at the start of the review, you can find good deals, but I assume they are a dime a dozen (and then still screwed up).
Buyer beware.
