If you're not into the vegas strip scene and would rather be in a more quiet area, this resort is for you. It's really secluded along with all the other resorts set apart near Lake Las Vegas. You'll end up driving at least 30 minutes from the airport to the resort one-way. It's also nice that as a guest, self-parking is complimentary unlike most of the hotels on the strip.
I was on the 9th floor in a king deluxe with the lake view for 2 nights and 3 days. I did enjoy the scene and all the outdoor seating available, but you don't get to really sit out there too long due to the heat. The sun beats down on you and heats up all the furniture. The room is mediocre for something called "deluxe" but it had all the necessary items including a small balcony, robe, complimentary drinks, etc. I felt the room was lacking in furniture.
One thing I would like to see improvement in is the fitness workout center. It was poorly managed. The water wasn't filled and my room being on the 9th floor, it wasn't pleasant to know that I have to go back to get water. The weights are old and the mats are dirty. It's a small room and could be left in a better condition as long as someone checks on it.
My stars are given mainly for the servers. They were cheery and I sensed that customer service was important to them as they checked one every detail during every meal.
