  • We just returned from lunch at Le Village Buffet, and I have to say that I am very disappointed.This has been my favorite buffet in Las Vegas for the last few years (we live in Las Vegas). I always look forward to eating there. We were supposedly seated at a preferred Platinum Club table. Our table was around the corner from the Provence section: right where all the buffet staff comes in and out of the kitchen with huge carts on wheels, clattering along the cobblestone floors, making horrendous noises throughout the meal. There was nothing relaxing about this meal! The food did not feel up to par to us. I always loved the individual servings of beef bourguignon and things like that, but there were none of those. One prime rib looked positively raw. The sushi was boring (only two kinds). There were no chicken dishes that I saw. The salads were bland. I've always been intrigued by the crepe station, but the line is always so long and slow that I have never taken the time to get one. I have bragged up this buffet to so many people--it was really a bit embarrassing. I still love the creme brulee and macaroon cookies for dessert, but I'm not sure they're worth going there just for that. The cashier and server were very nice. Le Village Buffet has gone from "great" to "pretty average" in a very short period of time. Very disappointing!
