I have come twice with a Groupon for casual shots and it has been a fun experience. I probably would not return without a Groupon.
Front desk sometimes is a bit disorganized and both sessions started late. Photographers have been friendly but I wouldn't say the most professional (i.e. they don't tell you if your hair is going everywhere). They take a million photos, have you leave for 15 mins, then you return to take a look at their chosen 60ish shots. As for the upselling, photo packages are always expensive from photo studios but I don't know how this place compares to others.
Another downside is that it takes time for the print to be ready and you need to return to pick it up (or pay for it to be mailed), the pro is that you can send someone else to get it for you. The digital copies also take around 10 days to get to you...not sure why there is a wait time.
