I've always been athletic and did club soccer growing up. When I got too old for that i turned to running as my primary means of working out. Over the years I've ran several half marathons, 10ks, 5ks, and a marathon and to this day love to run! However, over the past 2 years I've felt the strength component of my workout regime extremely lacking. I really missed the group strength training component soccer used to give me. I had heard great things about Barre but i have to be honest I was not a believer that it would be intense enough. Recently I moved RIGHT next to this location and made myself go and try it out.
Fast forward 4 months later and I'm still doing Barre 1-2 times a week consistently as my form of strength training! I was COMPLETELY wrong about Barre not being intense enough. I am consistently sweating waterfalls and every muscle shakes every class. I've seen definite changes in my arm, leg, and ab tone even only going 1-2 times per week. Not only is the workout great and challenging everytime, the instructors are so good about surveying the room all throughout class and gently and discreetly readjusting the form of people who may not be positioned right (many times its me oops). I appreciate this as even the tiniest deviation from form can make you feel the burn in the wrong place! Everyone here is so nice and the instructors know what they are doing and welcome all skill levels.
