  • We walked in and it was super busy, but snagged two seats at the bar right away. Chips and salsa were placed in front of us fairly quickly and they were delicious. It took about ten minutes for someone to take our drink (which included an apology). I ordered the patron mojito because the menu specified fresh ingredients (agave nectar, lime, seltzer water), but as I watched him make it, it was mixed with a pre-mixed mojito blend. It tasted like a watered down margarita, but after I asked for soda water to be added, it tasted a little better. I wouldn't have ordered the drink had I known it would have been prepared that way so that was a bummer. We ordered the carnitas platter and blue corn tortilla tacos. The food came out quickly and tasted pretty good. Although, the carnitas platter came with flour tortillas. It bugs me when a restaurant assumes my tortilla choice. I thought it came with corn considering most restaurants in the area serve corn unless specified. I would have asked for corn as a replacement, but the staff was hustling for the rest of the restaurant and not really paying great attention to bar customers. We got our check and then they took my credit card and didn't give it back. After about ten mins, I had to ask for it. It was sitting in an open book in a pile of other empty ticket books. We will probably go back because the food was awesome. However, we will likely get it to go because quality of drinks and service left something to be desired. At least they were polite during the limited interactions!
