| - Pro: they took care of my issue and stock the same kind of tires I buy for my car.
Con: it took three hours to get a tire looked at and changed.
Alright, my reviews are never that short and to the point. This one is no exception. I got a nail stuck in my tire on the drive in from LA. Somehow, it didn't explode on the freeway. In fact, I wouldn't have known something was wrong if the tire pressure light didn't go on and my tire wasn't totally flat after stopping at the South Point. I came here on a Saturday afternoon, after three other places refused to help me either because they don't have staff, tire machines, or any interest in my issue. Tire Works put air in my tire and told me to come back the next day. Better than nothing, I guess.
Sunday morning: I took a $15 Uber to the Autozone in the same shopping center as Tire Works because I needed to pump more air in my tire, as it had gone flat overnight. Looking back on it, I would have been much better off taking the tire off and taking the Uber to Tire Works so they could fix it instead. Nope, I bought a $20 air pump, filled the tire up on the car, and drove to the shop. I got into Tire Works at 10:00 AM and left around 1:00 PM. After waiting twenty minutes, they told me to pull the car up and they would take a look. I had a smoke, checked Facebook, and even had a long phone call with my mother while waiting outside in the sun with my car keys in hand, like a fool. It wasn't until I went back in and sat down that they came chasing after me, saying they would look at my car. I handed over the keys and then waited even more time.
There were basically two people working on four cars, one supervising (literally walking around with a clipboard behind the other two), and the guy at the desk who spoke like a used car salesman. At 12:30, they finally called me to look at the damage caused to the tire. The nail was too close to the sidewall for comfort, which I agreed with, so I needed a new tire. Thankfully, they had my brand and even the exact same type/size in stock. Tire was mounted and back on my car in less than ten minutes. Then I paid a very reasonable price (very comparable to what I pay back home for tires) and was on my way. I just had to laugh when they tried to sell me a road hazard warranty. "I'm only in Vegas once a year. I'm not gonna tow my car 250 miles the next time this exact tire goes flat."
Everything was good except for the wait time.
