  • It is unfortunate that I have to write this review. I read all these reviews from "Agents" who work for Lenny and Stephanie. I am not one of those Agents. I am a tenant of one of their Agents. When we moved to Las Vegas from Orlando 3 year ago we decided to rent our home in Orlando out and instead of buying a home immediately in Vegas we decided to become renters. So I have the perspective of a home owner that rents out my house and as a renter who rents a home in Vegas. The home we picked out was as important to us as the company that managed it. We didn't want a company that treated the renter like a "nobody" simply because they were not the actual clients of the Real Estate company (the home owner is). We found that in ADG our previous management company. We were with them for several years. Several months ago we were notified 3 days before rent was due that our "Agent" had moved to a different Real Estate company (Paradigm Reality). I had already paid part of the rent with the previous management company since it was on auto payment each week. I was informed via mail from Paradigm Reality that all future rent (including the one due in 3 days even though it had already been paid to our old company) needed to be deposited into their Wells Fargo account and I was given an Amendment to my already existing lease. This Amendment clearly states that all previous provisions of my original lease with ADG would remain in effect and nothing would change, other than who I made the payments to. Considering I had already paid rent for the future month I needed to quickly figure out how to get my money back from the previous company so that I could then "walk into a Wells Fargo and make a deposit in Paradigm Reality account". Seems a bit absurd that I have to physically walk into their bank to send in a rent payment. They suggested that I set up a direct deposit directly from my account to theirs each month. Okay but how does that solve the fact that rent is due in 3 days and I already paid it to the previous company? Stephanie informed me that it would be late if not paid to Paradigm. haha, ok great job on the notice there. Now only a few months later, my wife walked into their office at 3:00 the other day with a check in hand and tried to pay the rent. The young lady at the office with the purple hair turned her away. Yes, she stated that she was closing early and that she didn't have time to take her payment. What? Really, you now don't accept rent payments in person during business hours? She was sent to Wells Fargo to make the payment. So my wife drives across town to find the closest Wells Fargo and pays the rent. We go about our day thinking everything is fine. Until 5 days later when we received notification that Paradigm wants to charge us $25 for making a cash payment to the bank. Huh? Is this a joke? Paradigm claims that Wells Fargo charges them a $25 fee for making a cash deposit into their account. We didn't make a cash payment. We used our debit card. Also it was Paradigm that wouldn't take a payment at the office during business hours. Interesting, so I read through my lease and there is nothing indicating that I had to pay a $25 fee for making a cash/debit card payment. I then read through the Amendment and there is nothing there either, in fact it states ALL provisions from my original lease will remain in tact. So I called the office and needless to say, well, I am here writing this wonderful review. The young lady on the phone (I assume is Stephanie) was not helpful, nor seemed to care. Even though it is Paradigm billing me the additional $25, she suggested I contact Wells Fargo (their bank not mine) and dispute it with them. Excuse me, Wells Fargo isn't charging me a $25 fee. My receipt from them says nothing of the sort on it. Paradigm Reality is the one charging me. After making no progress she simply referred me to the Agent that overseas the property and told me to take it up with him. So, is the Agent charging me? Is Paradigm charging me? Is the landlord charging me? I am not sure but Paradigm wants the payment however claims it isn't them charging it. While we absolutely love our home we rent, the company that manages it is far from helpful. I see all these reviews from "Agents" that work for them but can't seem to find a review from any of their tenants or customers. Makes me wonder if this company is brand new and simply asked Agents to post reviews to boost their ratings and if that is the case this is horrible business practices. I own a home in another state and use a management company to manage my property. I would never allow that company to treat my tenants this way. When the tenant gets fed up with the management company & moves, it is the owner that loses the most. I wish I could say that I see things getting better but I am sure after this review things will get worse. We shall see.
