| - Came in Sat the 4th 2015 needed a security door & carpet. No one was in section waited 10 minutes O.K. no big deal, bought door & carpet was told in 1-2 business days someone would call to come out & measure even though I had the measurements O.K. & usually a couple more days after measurements taken for some to come out & install.
Security door guy came out next day for measurements, went to store to pay for it told again by associate should only be a day or few but the paperwork did state could take up to the 23rd but "I had the same thing done and it only took a few day don't worry"
well they called today and the next appointment is you guessed it the 23rd. So everythings paid for and its gonna take almost 3 weeks for a one hour job UNACCEPTABLE
they can come out, measure & take your money in less than 48 hours but it takes 3 weeks to get someone out to install is a slap in the face with so many people out of work.
Next Carpet again ordered on 4/4/2015 told the same thing about time frame was told $99 install for the whole house, they also remove and take old carpet with them, took 3 days for the measurements go into store to pay, told I have to remove carpet because its dirty lol O.K. no biggy won't take me longer than 20 minutes to do it,
then told instal doesn't include stairs and the charge for that is $9 per stair & theirs 14 of em hahahahaha. Really $150 per hour is for LAWYERS & DOCTORS NOT CARPET INSTALLERS, I did carpet part time back in high school it would'nt take an hour to do the stairs, so I ordered without the stair labor.
So basically
False Advertising
(sign said $99 whole house, there was no * saying stairs not included nor was I told this.
Bait & Switch
( told it would not take more than a week yet it's gonna take 3 weeks)
(told carpet removal was included but its's not)
(told hole house carpet install was $99 but it's not it's $99 + $9 per stair)
Will look around elsewhere to get done ASAP and cancel if I can.
1 hour of a labor install takes 3 weeks & carpet installers want $150 an hour to lay carpet on stairs is UNACCEPTABLE when so many people are looking for work
NEVER AGAIN LOWES = FALSE ADVERTISING, BAIT & SWITCH, PRICE GOUGING
will be leaving negative reviews and file with BBB not that it will do anything Will never do business at Lowes again.
BTW signed up for credit they denied but yet Home Depot approved me for $1250 should of went there first.
