  • My boyfriend, Matthew, has been hyping this place up since I moved to Vegas a year & a half ago. And maybe that's why I was so disappointed with how my meal turned out...... and then again maybe not. This place was downright awful. And by awful, I mean I can't believe I paid for my food. For so long I believed that presentation was everything, and then I started eating at places like Bachi Burger. Though artfully crafted, all three items I ordered were beyond bland and expensive to say the least. After doing some Yelp picture stalking, I ordered the Oxtail Chili Fries and Pork Belly Buns and requested that both be served as entrees instead of appetizers as Matthew and I like to have all our food at the same time so we can have a variety of items to munch on. My Oxtail Fries came out long before anything else, which was an annoyance, but nothing I was gonna raise a stink about so we proceeded to dig in. My sweet Buddah were those fries disgusting. When I'm dining at a place that's charging $11 for a plate of chili fries, I'm expecting quality ingredients and exceptional flavor, and these fries lacked both. If I hadn't known any better (and I guess in some way I don't) I could swear they were covered in a can of Bush's Beans... and nothing else. Not even the fried egg that topped it could add any flavor to this disaster of a dish. The Oxtail Fries were followed by my Pork Buns and Matthew's Miyagi San Burger that he requested to come out medium. Brown meat through and through is not "medium," people. Yet despite the obviously overcooked hunk of beef, we tried our best to power through the rest of the meal, and let me tell you, it was rough. The grease from the onion rings on the burger was enough to give you a stomach ache and the "Buns" around my pork belly where gummy... literally.. it was like eating thick gummy candies with cold pork.... I asked our waitress what condiments they offered so that we might at least get something into our system. Matthew inquired about a sweeter dipping sauce, and she proceeded to tell us they had a pineapple ketchup. I don't care much for sweet things, so I asked what other condiments they had, and finally decided on a garlic chili aioli. Our waitress brought both dipping sauces to us, which I thought was a very kind gesture considering we only wanted the aioli... until she charged us for both of them! First of all, if you are going to charge people for condiments at a RESTAURANT.. you need to tell the customer that there's an extra charge. Second of all, don't bring out a condiment that I didn't ask for and then charge me for it. Matthew and I left all our food on the table and left. We won't be back.
