| - I'm pretty dissatisfied. Just moved here and am (STILL) looking for a good salon. The salon is nice, the staff is friendly, but my hair is just awful. I have dirty blonde hair that I haven't colored in about 3 years. Decided to go lighter blonde and booked a full weave with Kayla. When I got there I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and explained that I wasn't sure what to book online, but I didn't want chunky highlights. I just wanted lighter blonde hair. She recommended a partial weave, and I agreed, thinking it would end up looking like my picture. Well, no. I have tiger streaks in my hair. The highlights are all different colors, from orangish to yellow to practically white around my face. My bangs look the worst, and now I'm just pinning them to the side. She also didn't tone my hair, so I'm wondering if that is contributing to the brassiness. I called the salon today to try to see if there was any way to fix it, and while Kayla did call me right back, there seemed to some miscommunication, because she left me a voicemail quoting color prices. I'm hesitant to return to the stylist that made it look this way to begin with. I also had a later appointment- at 515, and I could tell she was tired by about 7, because she only partially dried my hair.
This is likely my fault- I'm more of the type to suffer in silence rather than voice my complaints. I hoped that maybe I was just tired and the salon lights made it look worse than it was. I even weakly told her I liked it (I crack under pressure). But my fiancée took one look at me and made a very unhappy face. My honest friends were nice enough to tell me it's pretty bad and to try purple shampoo to get rid of the brassiness.
Online the prices for partial weaves START at $65, she charged me $80. I guess I'm used to stylists quoting me a price before they start -if it's different from the advertised price (again, my fault, it does say starting price online). I even gave her a decent tip, and ended up paying $100 for hair that makes me sad.
