This is the first Vietnamese restaurant we have been to since we moved here and we were very impressed with both the quality of the food and the atmosphere Pho Ao sen creates.
The location was a little tricky to find if you are using the location star on the map yelp provides because it is incorrect. Before you rush off make sure you double check the address. The location is on the SE corner of Baseline and Dobson in the Albertsons strip mall.
The seating and music provides a nice ambiance and makes you feel very comfortable. The service was more then adequate except that we had to ask for check after waiting about 10 minutes. This would not have been a problem except the place only had 2 other tables other then that my only other complaint would be that I am pretty sure their Thia Tea was from a can.. I recognized that particular flavor but I could be wrong :/
We initial went their to try their Pho but were distracted from that due to the large number of entrees selections. The Spring rolls were amongst the best I ever had and suggest that every one try's them at least once!
We ended up ordering the:
Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio
Marinated charbroiled pork and egg roll
7.50
Com Tam Suon Bo Tom
Korean style beef short rib with marinated charbroiled tiger shrimp
8.25
Both of which were absolutely stellar! The tiger shrimp was very well prepared, absolutely to die for and were as fresh as one could possible get here in Arizona. The Marinated pork chop was savory and very tender!
All in all you will be very please with both the service, food, portions and atmosphere! The pricing is what really stood out the most to me. The quality of food you get for the price is amazing! The check came out for the two of us to be about $34 including tip; we both ordered a special drink, one appetizer and two entrees. A great deal in my book! You will not be disappointed
