| - When I first saw this place come up out of nowhere, I think I thought it was a condo. I guess, according to the information I have received here, and on their oversized signs (re: fair trade, etc), it's the opposite of a condo? Cool, I can get behind that.
The sheer size was a little overwhelming for me. It also seemed to lend it an equally intimidating echo. There were some very nice and shiny machines for sale, and in use, and their menu sign was on a big shiny computer/tv screen! Also of course, true to its name, bags upon bags of *green beans*, waiting to be roasted. Oh, there is also a clear-walled "roasting-room" for added effect. I thought it was pretty cool.
My coffee was good, and they had some other pastries I had a hard time ignoring (a yummy-looking circle of cranberry shortbread, very much up my alley), but my one complaint was that the croissant I purchased was labeled "plain" when it was in fact, chocolate. Maybe they expect people to know from the shape, but since I've never had a chocolate croissant, I just thought someone was trying to poison me.
