Booked a weekend conference here with 200+ #WellArmedWomen The Buttes is a nice little resort hotel with rooms that are very clean and comfortable. The food at the Market Cafe was good as were the lunches and dinner we were provided over the weekend. I'd definitely stay here again.
There were a few minor areas of opportunity. For our first breakfast here, they weren't prepared for 200 women (although I'm pretty sure they could count the reservations for the weekend). The line to pay for our food at The Market was way too long for women that had to be in a conference on time. But they adjusted and Sunday was much better.
I realize this is a desert, but I would never have expected scorpions in one of the rooms. Maybe there should be a friendly reminder about that being a possibility. It would also help if they could provide something to help with scorpion stings. So basically, wear your shoes even in the room and maybe pack some Benadryl and a black light.
Also, the stairs from the main lobby/conference area to the rooms could use more lighting. It was difficult to see some of the steps. But the steps give you a lovely view of the city, the mountains and the pool area during the day.
The issues were minor and it was still a great weekend.
