  • It's simply true that The Home Depot is not the company it was 20 some years ago. I suppose many companies aren't. I've gotten to the point that I really don't enjoy trips to a super store like The Home Depot. But, my experience at this location today was more like I remember it from years ago. First off, the employee gladly accepted a return I had for a product that was purchased months ago. I had gone in hoping I'd get a store credit and an understanding that even that wasn't likely to happen. But, after inspecting the item and confirming it was all there, she simply issued a refund. Nice! Of course, she - and I - probably already knew I was going to spend that much today or more. And, I did. The store was clean. The items on the shelves were all well stocked. I found exactly what I needed. And, quickly. I like the location. I'm going to consider driving out of the way the next time I need something from this store.
