| - It was definitely an extravagant experience. Starting price per drink here is $17. Luckily, we used a Groupon. $250 for Cabana, 750 ml bottle of alcohol with 3 mixers, and a fruit platter, with entrance coverage for up to 12 people, so if you get multiple people to throw in, it isn't that bad. Also, food prices are really reasonable compared to alcohol prices. There were 5 of us, but we went through that bottle in about 4 hours, hours of the pool are from 9 to 6 and you must check in by 11:30am if you have a daybed/ Cabana rental, or they put it back in rotation to be rer-rented. Check in for the pool is right off the valet drop off which is really convenient, valet is $13 for 4 hours or less, then $18 for 4 hours or More. To check in be prepared to have EVERYTHING searched in your bags, they opened and looked at everything in my purse from floss to hand lotion, honestly if I had known it was that serious, I would have just left my purse at home. They didn't do Pat downs, or pocket checks, so if you really want to try to smuggle anything in, on person would be the only option. Once you come up to the pool check in you'll see a long line, but Cabana and daybed get their own check in, so there was no wait there at all. You're immediately greeted by 2 pool concierges, they take your ID and card used for reservations for any additional charges you may incur. Make sure everyone has their ID, even if you're over 50, they refuse entrance without ID. With the Groupon there was an additional $60 resort/ service fee? Then the concierges proceed to tell you, that tipping the server is separate from tipping the concierge, which I thought was bizarre, I've never tipped a hotel concierge during check in, and I thought it strange to be solicted for a tip for basically pulling up my reservation and having me sign some papers. I tipped $10 just because I believe in good karma, but really, strange practice there. Then after check in, you're escorted to your Cabana. We had cabana 1 which was close to the pool, restrooms, bar, and dj. The Cabana can probably seat up to 8, and then you get your own 2 sun chaises as well. The pool has a tv, ours didn't work, kept rebooting for some reason, but we weren't there to watch TV. The fridge is there for drinks you order as outside food/drink is strictly prohibited. There is also a mister fan, but make sure everything is put away in the storage shelf, as everything gets wet once the mister comes on. You are immediately greeted by 2 servers, one male and one female. I believe the female is the lead, she took our order and continuously tried to upsell. When asked about waters, she said "Water isn't included but you can get a bucket of 6 figi for $30" we opted out of the water and just walked to the bar that was 50 feet away and got free cups of water. After we decided on our 3 mixers, she once again tried to upsell us on red bulls, again we declined. Our server names were Christina and Josh, they were both friendly, but honestly, I felt like Josh did everything and Christina just took our order and kept trying to push us to buy more. When we placed our food order with Josh, we ordered a small chicken tender and carne asada fries ,because only 2 people were hungry, and then Christina came back around to ask us if we wanted the larger order of tenders for $30. I understand upselling, but after a while it just seems really pushy. The pool was amazing, music was great, and there was a waterfall and you also get access to the waterslide which is just up the stairs on the other side , ask any staff how to get there. Overall, it really was a great experience. Shoutout to Josh for all his hard work!
