  • Initially we loved Risen Savior. we had our first child and due to the need to work we had to begin daycare quite early for our son at 4 months. Kara in the infant program was fantastic and cared for our son well, as well as the afternoon staff. Morning staff with Kara was always pretty good. Unfortunately, a parent snagged the afternoon staff as a personal nanny and since then we had issues with steady turnover and poor attention from the afternoon staff. We went from having a great progress report every day to having regular reports showing our child didn't sleep at all, or hadn't eaten or had a bottle in hours. When we inquired why this was the staff would saying something like, "Ummm, *think* he ate..." or "I think the sheet is just wrong" or whatever excuse they could think up on the spot. This was pretty much a daily occurrence. Half the time they just shrugged and said, "I just got here a little bit ago, I don't know." Isn't it your job to know how my child is doing? I consider making sure they are eating and sleeping appropriately at such a young age to be the very BASIC necessities for childcare and if they can't even tell me when or if my child last ate or slept then I have no confidence they are doing any of the more advanced developmental stuff they claim. They since moved on to having an app give parents daily reports but they would still be inaccurate and incomplete. They also don't send you the daily report until 7PM, that is of no use to me when trying to figure out a 4 PM when to have my child eat or sleep based on how they were doing. They moved the infant room from a cozy carpeted room that had good safety barriers to a new room that was just kind of cold and sterile and had tile all around with some carpet duct taped to the middle of the floor. Several times I came to pick up our son and was met with him crawling or walking out the open classroom door. Nobody up front ever checked to verify I was a parent if anyone was up front at all. I could have grabbed my kid in the hallway and walked out no problem. The director of the school would usually be in her office or talking to the front desk staff when we would drop off or pick up, but never once said hello to us in the 8 months our child went there which I thought was a bit strange as well.
