I love to make things. Most recently I decided to make a bike repair stand for my garage. While I was at Rona striking out with the staff who had no idea what I was asking for, I pulled up a photo of the part. Turns out the photo was from the Canadian Tire website. From there the website could use my location to identify Canadian Tire locations that had the part in stock, and even told me what aisle I would find it in. I should have done this before going to The Home Depot and then Rona and having no luck with either. It's not like Canadian Tire has helpful staff who can guide you in the right direction, but thanks to their website I was in an out with the part I needed in no time. I then picked up a few car detailing supplies, and resisted the temptation to impulse purchase a rubber dingy to float the Bow river with...
Want a dingy that you can float the Bow River a couple times a summer, but have no interest getting into rafting as a sport. The other day, Canadian Tire had a two person raft with paddles for $35. That's less than it cost to rent a raft.
Go here because you need something for outdoor life, you don't want to pay much, and you really don't care of the quality.
