  • I bought a maintenance plan with my car, so I always take it in to the Ford shop off South Blvd and have always gotten good service. This time around I was planning a very long road trip north and thought it would be a time saver to just stop by the Huntersville Ford shop for my routine maintenance. What normally takes an hour or so took almost three hours. No matter, my car was ready for a long drive and I set back out on the road. About the time I get back on the highway, my tire pressure sensor starts blinking and a message displayed saying there was a sensor fault. I have never seen this before so I pulled off at the next exit and called the shop back right away. The said there was nothing wrong with the car and the tire sensor would probably reset it's self and be fine. All ready behind on time for my long trip, I decided to continue on. A couple of weeks after getting back home, the light never did shut off, which is kind of annoying on my car with less than 50K miles that I keep maintained. I call their shop back and tell them the problem never went away. The shop employee immediately began denying any responsibility and went on to say "hey, we wouldn't do stuff like that on purpose". I never said they did it on purpose, but I did let him now, that I just bought brand new tires only a couple months back and have never had this problem until right after pulling out of their shop. Finally the guy said I could bring it in and they would reset the sensor. I schedule an appointment for 10am. When I bring my car in the lady at the desk says it will be at least an hour and a half before they can get to me. I wish they would have let me know before hand. I would have booked another time, or found someone to pick me up at the shop. Finally my car is done, however, they didn't fix anything. Instead they said it would be about $230 to replace the tire sensor, that they broke in the first place. Needless to say I will never be back to their shop and I would advise against ever taking your car there. They might fix one problem and create another like they did for me.
