  • Yes I expected better because I've eaten here before.I actually predicted the outcome of the product based on the actions that occurred in the minutes that followed . A dark- haired lad, handsome with a chiseled face damn near broke his neck getting to the counter. He shoved a menu into my hands not saying a word. It made me feel awkward, like hurry up, order, and get out is how I took the vibe. For sure the end justified the means because the fish was soggy, the coating did not envelope the fish and a shake of salt would have been not just nice but required.I don't wish to hurt the young man's feelings but ,"homeboy needs to put some love into his cooking" I know I fry fish on a regular basis and the reason the coating didn't stay on is because of improper cooking oil temperature or varying the temperature of the cooking oil. This mistake is widely experienced by many amateur or part time cooks, but just the same I don't appreciate this blunder at 12.95 a plate. Normally when using my Visa after signing the restaurant's copy of the receipt the clerk offers me what is already mine, my copy of the receipt. Instead he threw mine in the circular file, was he making a prediction or did he know something I did not ? It helps to have a receipt when you have a complaint, does it not ? He didn't even ask me if I wanted the copy he just threw it away promptly. Hmmmm? In addition I would add that the Codfather is a fish and chips restaurant, that's the specialty. Therefore chips should be a part of every regular order, instead you must choose between slaw, chips, etc. If the powers that be read my review the most important point I must stress to you all is put a competent cook behind that fryer, you can produce a good product you have for me in the past. Don't be freakin stingy with the chips, give them generously with every order then charge for other items on the side. Not trying to tell you how to run your business but we are the public , we are not stupid , we shop and we know how inexpensive potatoes are, you all "feel me". Your going to generate more revenue by word of mouth from people bragging on your quality and large helpings then omitting what you know we as customers are entitled to, for the purpose of saving money(overhead). This visit I did not get what I expected and I spent close to 60.00 at your establishment. I BELIEVE you need to make an adjustment you may not think so, in any case, to solve any differences, simply ask yourselves do you want my business or do you not want my business. Yelp submits this review to your restaurant and you have an opportunity to let me know where you stand on this issue, if and when you respond, but I'm not holding my breath.
