| - Going off of reviews on Hotwire, a 3 1/2 star rated hotel is not what the Radisson in Cleveland is. We travelled there over the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. After arriving in our room, we discovered we were given a room with 2 beds instead of 1 (I booked a king room on Hotwire). We were told by staff (after waiting 20 mins for a call back that never came) that they were fully booked and if we had a special room request that we were better off booking on their website or calling in. Needless to say this was NOT the start to our trip we wanted.
After dinner, we returned to our 2 bed room to find that we had no remote. I called the desk and they said they would bring one up. I waited 20min and desided to just go down to the desk and pick it up myself. After returning to my room, I had to make the trip to the front desk twice more to actually receive a working remote. Needless to say I was NOT happy about this! Not to mention that the women at the desk was anything but helpful... Everytime I returned try to retrieve a working remote I was intruding on her time.
During the time that I was waiting for someone to bring up the remote, we tried to use the sleep number beds (that they are so proud to advertise that they have). Neither of our 2 beds' systems worked. I gave up on complaining about this to the staff. I'm sure I would have been meet with the same great customer service we had already received during the day.
Yes, the room was "clean" and yes the bathroom was large enough to do your buisness.
Yes, the location is good for the Q or Progressive field, but for our evening out everything was bit of a walk. With bad weather we ended up just taking taxi every where, so I would have gladly given up the location of just a little bit of customer service.
Honestly, this was not my first or second choice to stay at in downtown, it was just the only place that wasn't fully booked at the time we booked. I will never be staying here again.
