| - I have been a patient at this office for over 8 years. I have seen many staff members come and go, even the dentists! I have referred to it as musical dentists. It seems like every 6 months, I get a new dentist. There is one dentist who has been here for a number of years named Dr. Dalton. I find him to be a very competent dentist and he has a good personality, too. The dental hygienist, Melinda is also very good and personable. However, I kept getting the "new" dentists, who didn't last long. After I had been seen by a new one a few years ago, I googled him to learn that he was an ex-con who had been to prison recently for cocaine trafficking! I was concerned that he could be on drugs while performing my dental work. Who knows, but he's not there anymore. I question whether they actually background check their applicants and why no one stays for very long. Red flags there... I do have dental insurance, and have never felt that they were trying to rip me off or scam me in any way. I have never had any billing issues. However, my daughter, who is also a patient there, has had her chart mixed up with other patients TWICE in the past year. She actually got through her appointment one time without the staff noticing! They had even written in the other patient's chart! Very scary! Both times the wrong charts contained my daughter's first name, but not her last name! I think the front office staff does very sloppy work. I mean, someone had to pull the wrong chart, but then the dental assistant/hygienist and dentist missed it, too! I have not found the front office staff to be very friendly, professional, competent or caring. Just a job, I guess. Besides, the usual 6 month checkups/cleaning/X-rays, I have had some work done here, mostly fillings. I should mention that they only use the tooth-colored, resin fillings, not the mercury-laden, silver amalgam ones. I don't know if that is standard practice now, but when I first came here, they only used the resin fillings when other dentists still used the silver ones. I have not had any problems with the services here. No horror stories. The office is older, looks like they're stuck in the '80's or '90's with their equipment and decor. Bottom line, overall, the office and the staff could be better, but, also, could be worse.
