Live, work, play downtown? Yup. Now we can finally grocery shop down here too.
I've been 4 times since they opened less than a week ago. Yes. This may sound sad to some. Here are some key points for visiting our newest neighbor.
*Bring reusable bags for your grocery trips or you could buy one there. But then you can fit more inside. The baggers put my milk and my chicken breasts in their own separate bags....
*Avoid Sundays. Unless you are going for the prepared foods. Sunday was brutal/crowded/and slow moving (the patrons not the staff).
*They re-stock Mondays. Another reason not to go Sundays.
*Come for HH. Upstairs is glorious with wine pours by the glass. Buy the card for $20 to avoid the $3 fee. Also, beer on tap.
*Prices are not as bad as people make it out to be. If you shop smart and check the weekly flyer for sales, you will survive.
*The yogurt selection is a bit insane. It's huge.
*Friendly staff. Questions? Don't wonder. Ask.
*Fresh Flowers. Both floors have different selections and they run various weekly specials.
*Invest in a free Heinen's Card. Duh. Save more money.
*Don't forget to look up. In the rotunda particularly.
*Parking is in a lot labeled one block west on Euclid next to the 668 apartments. If you spend $50 you get validated for free.
Enjoy the best shopping experience downtown has to offer in the heart of the city!
